May 12, 2014 –The presentation of the Frank Money Armed Forces Tribute Awards will be just part of the many pre-game ceremonies planned on Armed Forces Day, presented by Keller Chevrolet and the Buffalo Naval Park, at Coca-Cola Field, Saturday, May 17. The Bisons host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at 4:05 p.m.

Bisons players and coaches will wear special Camouflage Caps during the game and area veterans will unveil and hold a Giant American Flag during the National Anthem. There will also be 10 Area Color Guards on hand to present the colors for the game.

All Coca-Cola Field gates open at 3:00 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early as on-field ceremonies will begin at 3:30 p.m. Over 50 local area veterans will unveil the large American flag in the outfield of Coca-Cola Field. WYRK Radio Host Clay Moden will then emcee the awarding of the first annual Frank Money Armed Forces Tribute Awards to those area individuals who have bravely served in the United States Armed Forces or who serve as champions for the support of our nations’ veterans.

Color guards present for on-field ceremonies include: US Air Force (914 AW), US Navy, US Marine Corp., US Army JROTC, US Coast Guard, USS The Sullivans Sea Cadets, South Towns Squadron Civil Air Patrol, Iroquois Indian Post, West Seneca Legion Post and the United Veterans.

During the game, the Bisons will wear special camouflage caps as a show of support. Several caps will be autographed as part of an in-game raffle to support the Buffalo Naval Park. There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as ‘Naval Park Command Post’ set up in the Coca-Cola Field concourse during the event.
