BUFFALO, N.Y. (July 14, 2014) —The Buffalo Sabres today announced that the team’s intra-squad scrimmage during development camp will be streamed live on Sabres.com. The scrimmage will take place on Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. at First Niagara Center and is open to the public with free admission and parking.
The scrimmage will include three 20-minute, stopped-time periods. Sabres broadcast team Dan Dunleavy and Rob Ray will call the game, with Brian Duff conducting interviews during the intermissions.
This year marks the third year in a row that the ice has been installed during the summer and the development camp has been held at the home of the Sabres.Attendees take part in both on-ice and off-ice workouts. The goals of the camp are to show prospective players the fundamental ideas of the Sabres’ playing system and expose them to the conditioning programs of an NHL player. Camp participants also study and examine NHL rules and the successful techniques a player must possess to become a professional athlete.
