Section Six Athletics inducted it’s second Hall of Fame class December 4th in front of a packed room at the Columns Restaurant banquet hall on Transit Road.
The new members of the Section’s HOF are:
Martha Altmire, Coach Olean HS
Robert Dinse, Athletic Director Wilson
Ilio DiPaolo Family Contributors Section VI Wrestling / Awards Ceremonies
Louis Foy, Athletic Director Salamanca
Chuck Funke, Athletic Director Iroquois
Gerry Gentner, Coach Williamsville South
Brian Hull, Athlete Southwestern
Paul Hutzler, Contributor Section VI Statistician /Historian
Walt Stefani, Coach Orchard Park
Jim Walker, Athletic Director Lewiston Porter
Section Six issued a release on the inductees stating:
“The Section VI Athletic Hall of Fame was established to honor and recognize those who have excelled in their roles as Athletes, Administrators, Coaches, Officials or Contributors of interscholastic athletics.
The inductees’ commitment to athletics in their particular areas has contributed to the promotion,continuation and development of programs within Section VI.
Those selected were significant performers in their respective areas. Section VI is proud to recognize these individuals.”
