The Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves won another trip back to the NJCAA National Championships with a 5-1 win over Erie Community College in the championship matchup in Little Falls New York. The Thunderwolves, who were the #3 Seed in the regional tournament, got a strong effort by winning pitcher Marcus Caverello with George Weber getting the save.
NCCC defeated the #2 Seeded Kats of ECC 6-3 on Friday and #1 Seed Herkimer 10-5 in 11 innings on Saturday. The Thunderwolves now travel to Tyler Texas on Thursday for the National NJCAA Div III Tournament. Coach Matt Clingersmith’s squad finished 2nd in their appearance last season.
