The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed free agent K Dan Carpenter to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Carpenter (6-2, 228-pounds) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2008. He has converted 127-of-155 field goals (81.9-percent) in his first five seasons with Miami (2008-12), along with 154-of-155 point after tries for 535 points in 76 games played.
The Montana product’s 127 field goals made from 2008-12 are tied for fifth-most among NFL kickers. After being released by Miami on August 14, 2013 he spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets. Carpenter will wear No. 2.
