The Buffalo Sabres held in there for two periods against Boston trailing 3-2, but Torey Krug scored twice in the 3rd and Boston wins it 5-2.
18 year old rookie Nikita Zadorov scored his first NHL goal for Buffalo at 15:10 of the second period to close the deficit to one goal and Cody Hodgson had scored earlier in the period, but John Scott is who folks in Boston will be talking about.
At 5:49 of the third period, Scott was given a match penalty for charging Loui Eriksson. Scott connected with Eriksson’s head on the play, and the Bruins forward left the game and did not return. Boston players were furious, but Scott was sent off the ice before any retaliation took place.
Buffalo is now 1-9-1 and off to the worst start in the history of the franchise. The Sabres will be in Carolina Friday for a 7:30 start.
