BILLS NAME MICHAEL LYONS DIRECTOR OF ANALYTICS
ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced that Michael Lyons has joined the organization as Director of Analytics.
Lyons’ responsibilities will include analyzing and developing strategic performance initiatives for all functions of the Buffalo Bills organization including – football operations, business development, and marketing.
“We welcome Mike to the Buffalo Bills organization. He has an extensive skill set in analytics and we look forward to the many contributions he will provide our franchise,” said Russ Brandon, Buffalo Bills President and Chief Executive Officer.
Lyons, 50, joins the Bills after 26 years as an information technology professional with the Xerox Corporation. Lyons served Xerox as a data analytics expert who was responsible for analyzing raw data and transforming it into useful information to create solutions for the business.
A native of East Aurora, NY, Lyons graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from MIT. He also earned a master’s in business administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. He and his wife Christine have four children and reside in Rochester, NY.
Lyons’ official start date will be November 6.
