HOLLAND, NY… The hills of Holland have been quiet but the roar of the engines will return to the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex for the 55th season of racing in 2014. The schedule is subject to change.
The registration party will be on Sunday March 2nd from 1-3pm at the Holland Willows. Drivers and crew members will have the opportunity to sign up for Priority Gold passes, pit pad registration plus renew or put in their applications for the 2014 NASCAR licenses and pick up the 2014 schedule and rulebook and also sign up for the car shows. Officials will be on hand if drivers have any questions. Like in 2013, there will be two car shows that drivers will have the chance to show off their rides for the 2014 season. The first show will take place at the Eastern Hills Mall in Williamsville from April 19-26. The traditional McKinley Mall car show will be run from May 3-10 at the popular Southtown mall in Hamburg. Each driver that participates in the car show will receive a total of 5 (five) points. Three (3) points will be given for the first show and two (2) for the second show. These points could be huge at the end of the season when deciding for a points championship.
After a pair of open practices on Saturday May 10 and 17 from 12-4pm, the 55th season opener presented by McKinley Mall will take place on Saturday May 24th with racing getting underway at 7:05pm. Eastern Hills Mall Night will wrap up the month of May with a full card of NASCAR racing at 7:05pm.
The month of June will start up with the rescheduled Budweiser 100 for the Getzoni Agency NASCAR Pro Modifieds plus a full show. June 14th will be the first of two visits from the “Wildest Show on Wheels”, Carwarz Crash-A-Rama fueled by Kwik Fill. That show will begin at 6:30. The popular Kids Night sponsored by the Bank of Holland will be on June 21st with the Chargers being featured in a 50 lap special.
June 28th there will be the Run or Dye 5k that day. You can use the coupon code HOLLANDRACE to save on registration. Saturday July 5th will see the return of the Race of Champions Modified Tour in the Holland 100. The 4 Cylinder Hornets will be featured in a 50 lap race on July 12th. The Pro Modifieds will be running in twin 25’s on July 19th, as part of Buffalo Niagara Builders Association Night. The popular Kwik Fill Night at the Races will be on July 26th.
August will start with the 15th edition of the George Decker Memorial 100 for the Pro Modifieds on August 2nd. August 16th will be Accellent Night at the Races. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library will be presenting the August 23rd racing program while Season Championships for all divisions will be on Saturday August 30th driven by Martin Brothers Chevrolet.
The first Saturday in September will see the Pro Modifieds competing in the 2014 edition of the Budweiser 100. Round two of Crash-A-Rama will wrap up Holland’s schedule on September 13th. Once again the schedule is subject to change.
This season will see the return of the NYPAMA TQ Midgets to the highbanks for 10 exciting shows. The Midgets will be in competition on May 24, May 31, June 7, June 21, July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2, August 16 and August 30. Also the INEX Legends will return to Holland for three shows on June 21, August 2 and September 6. The WNY Vintage Car Club will also make its return to Holland and will be racing on the historic highbanks on August 16th. Buffalo Drift Culture presents drifting at the speedway. Shows will be on Wednesday May 28, June 18, July 16, July 27, August 13 and the season finale on Sunday September 21st.
