The Buffalo Bills have enjoyed the glow of a 2-0 start and the Pegulaville mania that has permeated the franchise, but it’s time to play another game.

The San Diego Chargers come into town, hot off their upset of the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks and touting a dangerous attack. That attack includes quarterback Phillip Rivers and tight-end Antonio Gates. Plus, former Bills quarterback Frank Reich is now the Chargers offensive coordinator and they haven’t missed a beat with Reich in charge.

The Chargers dropped their opener at Arizona by a point, but the win over Seattle shows they can be a very competitive team. However, their biggest challenge Sunday, aside from an enthusiastic Bills team, is traveling east. That flight into to eastern time zone can be a killer for the west coast teams and the Chargers have struggled with it in the past.

The Bills will be sky high and all reports out of practice are that the team is focused and working hard. The only injury issue will be Robert Woods ankle. Woods injured the ankle Wednesday at practice and will be questionable come Sunday.

The way I look at this game is that the Bills are on a roll and facing a good team that doesn’t always travel well. The Chargers feel good about their win over Seattle, but it was in their own stadium and watching that game there were a number of fortuitous plays that went their way.

The Bills offense will have to score points and control the ball, but I see Buffalo winning this one 27-24n and a 3-0 start on the 2014 season.
