DE Ojomo Added to Practice Squad
Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed DT Jay Ross to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ross re-joins the Bills after being released on September 10th. The 6-3, 319-pound East Carolina product spent portions of the 2011 and 2012 season on the team’s Practice Squad and 53-man roster. A three-year starter at East Carolina, Ross entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with New Orleans in 2010. He will wear No. 69.
Buffalo also announced that the team has signed DE Adewale Ojomo (pronounced ad-uh-WALL-ee o-JO-mo) to the Practice Squad and released DE Izaan Cross.
Ojomo (6-4, 270-pounds) entered the NFL in 2012 as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants. He appeared in one game during his rookie season and was inactive for the remaining 15 contests. The Miami product spent a portion of the 2013 season on the Giants and Seattle Seahawks’ Practice Squads. At Miami, Ojomo played in 35 games (14 starts) and had 79 tackles (42 solo), 9.5 sacks and 16 stops for losses. He will wear No. 98.
