BILLS SIGN QB MATT FLYNN TO 53-MAN ROSTER
Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed QB Matt Flynn to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Flynn joins the Bills after being released by the Oakland Raiders on October 7. The 6-2, 230-pound LSU product entered the NFL as a seventh-round (209th overall) draft selection of the Green Bay Packers in 2008. He spent his first four years (2008-11) in the NFL with the Packers before joining the Seattle Seahawks in 2012 and was traded to Oakland in 2013.
In three career starts, Flynn has completed 76-of-113 passes for 958 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions for a 111.9 passer rating. He has appeared in 39 games with totals of 109 completions, 1,329 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Bills also announced that the team has placed DB Jonathan Meeks on Injured Reserve/Designated for Return. Under his designation, Meeks will be eligible to return to practice after being on Injured Reserve for at least six weeks. He will be eligible to return to the Active List after being on Injured Reserve for at least eight weeks.
