The Buffalo Sabres once again finished last in the NHL, but once again did not get the number one pick as it went to Edmonton, meaning the Sabres will undoubtedly pick Jack Eichel. The Boston University freshman is considered by all to be the second rated player in the 2015 draft and Sabres GM Terry Murray has said time and time again that he would be happy with Eichel.
Edmonton once again gets the overall number one pick and will certainly pick Connor McDavid, considered a “generational” player.
