The Hilton Cadets edged fellow Rochester high school wrestling power Webster Schroeder 182.5 to 177.5 to claim the 34th annual Niagara Frontier Wrestling Officials Association tournament at NCCC. Highlighting the victory for
Hilton was sophomore Yianni Diakomihalis’s winning the 120 lb. title and the Ilio DiPaolo Most Outstanding Wrestling Award.
Finishing in third place was the top ranked Section Six small school power Maple Grove with 175.5 points, followed by Lockport, the top ranked large school team in Section Six. Niagara Wheatfield finished fifth, Byron Bergen sixth, St. Francis seventh, Niagara Falls eighth, Lew-Port ninth and Falconer tenth.
