June 4, 2013 –The International League has suspended Buffalo Bisons manager MARTY BROWN for three games and fined him an undisclosed amount.
Brown began serving the suspension on Monday in the Bisons series finale in Norfolk. He will miss the first two games of the Bisons homestand. He will be eligible to return to his managerial duties for the Bisons game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Thursday, June 6 (10:35 a.m.).
Doug Davis, the Toronto Blue Jays’ minor league field coordinator since 2009 will serve as the Bisons manager for Tuesday and Wednesday’s games. He was manager of Eastern League New Hampshire FisherCats in 2006 and the Syracuse Chiefs from 2007-2008 and played professionally as a catcher for 11 seasons between 1984-1994.
Brown was ejected from Sunday’s contest against the Tides at Harbor Park.
