Hometown Negrych to lead off Herd Offense
April 3, 2013 –Buffalo Bisons manager MARTY BROWN has made up his first lineup card of the season. The Herd skipper announced his Opening Day lineup on the eve of the Bisons opener against the Rochester Red Wings on Thursday, April 4 at 2:05 p.m.
Here is the lineup that will hit in support of Bisons Opening Day Starter RHP JUSTIN GERMANO.
- JIM NEGRYCH (2B) –Buffalo-native and 2012 IL All-Star with Syracuse
- ANTHONY GOSE (CF) –Has stolen 228 bases over the last five seasons
- MOISES SIERRA (RF) –Hit 23 homers between Triple-A and Blue Jays in 2012
- LUIS JIMENEZ (1B) -2012 PCL All-Star hit 20 homers and drove in 81 with Tacoma
- ANDY LaROCHE (3B) -2012 IL Champion with Pawtucket Red Sox
- JOSH THOLE (C) –Played 218 Major League games over past 2 seasons
- RYAN LANGERHANS (LF) –Eight-Year Major League veteran
- EUGENIO VELEZ (DH) –Had 50 extra-base hits with Triple-A Memphis in 2012
- RYAN GOINS (SS) –Led Double-A Eastern League with 158 hits in 2012.
