Rookie quarterback Nate Peterman has been tabbed by Coach Sean McDermott to lead the Buffalo Bills Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Peterman will replace Tyrod Taylor after a dismal performance against the New Orleans Saints in which he threw for just 56 yards.
Sean McDermott made the announcement Wednesday morning telling the assembled media that he broke the news to Taylor on Tuesday and that while he was disappointed he handled it like a professional.
Peterman replaced Taylor in the Saints game and drove the team down the field for the lone Bills touchdown of the game, albeit in the waning moments of a lopsided loss.
Peterman was drafted by the Bills from Pittsburgh in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
