SANBORN, N.Y. — Niagara County Community College baseball coach Matt Clingersmith will sign 18 student-athletes to an NJCAA National Letter of Intent at an event scheduled for 12 noon on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the main gymnasium on the NCCC Sanborn campus.
Those expected to be in attendance and sign with the Thunderwolves include: Dillon Boyack (Clarence/Clarence, NY), Matthew Carroll (Aquinas/ Rochester, NY), Jacob Cavana (Olean/Olean, NY), Michael Ciccarone (Greece Odyssey/Rochester, NY), Matthew Cross (Starpoint/North Tonawanda, NY), Jonathan Dref (Leonardo Da Vinci/Buffalo, NY), Evan Kaul (Iroquois/Elma, NY), Joseph Kruazka (Gowanda/Gowanda, NY), Miguel Lopez (Mount Saint Michael Academy/Bronx, NY), Jordan MacKinnon (St. Mary’s (Lancaster)/Depew, NY), James Madison (Aquinas/Rochester, NY), William Newton (Newfane/Newfane, NY), Tyler Prospero (Notre Dame (Batavia)/Batavia, NY), Bryan Rivera (Greece Arcadia/Rochester, NY), Alexander Rodriguez (Greece Arcadia/Rochester, NY), Bradly Rybak (Silver Creek/Silver Creek, NY), Noah Thompson (East Aurora, East Aurora, NY) and Matthew Walker (Lakeshore Catholic/Port Colborne (Ont.)).
“I couldn’t be happier with the group of young men we are welcoming in to our program,” Clingersmith said. “My coaching staff and I can’t wait for the opportunity to help develop these young men into winners on and off the field.”
The Thunderwolves finished 31-13 last season before falling in the Region III Final Four. Since Clingersmith took over in 2007, NCCC has won the Region III championship and advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series three times (2009, 2012, 2013).
