BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 1, 2014) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced plans to host a “Party in the Plaza” for the team’s home opener against Columbus at First Niagara Center on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The party will take place in Alumni Plaza, presented by Tops Friendly Markets, located outside of the arena along Perry Street. The event will feature live music from Nik and the Nice Guys and food and beverages will also be available for purchase. There will also be special appearances by Sabres alumni and Sabretooth throughout the event.
In anticipation of the opening-night crowd for the game, fans planning on attending the home opener are encouraged to arrive early to ensure easy entrance into the arena. A pregame handout will also be distributed to fans as they are admitted into the game.
